Carly Marcinkoski, CRPS; Student Intern

I am a graduate student intern from Florida Atlantic University with a major in Social Work. I was born and raised in Palm Beach County, graduated from Park Vista High School, and developed a passion for mental health when I worked for The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) from 2016 to 2018. While working at NAMI I became a Peer Specialist and worked with teens that had mental health conditions. I also facilitated a support group for young adults experiencing mental illness. In 2018 I interned for the Dept. of Human Services in Belle Glade where I practiced case management for individuals that needed temporary financial assistance. In 2019 I was employed with South County Mental Health Center as a case manager for adults with severe mental health conditions. I am currently interning at Rebel Recovery FL and am doing Peer Specialist work with individuals, along with facilitating support groups for adults with substance use disorders and adults experiencing homelessness. I have personally been in the recovery community since 2014 and enjoy using my experience to help others
